Private Funeral Arranged For Oscar De La Renta

The world lost a fashion icon this week when Oscar de la Renta passed away at 82 after a long battle against cancer. On Friday, it was announced that a private funeral service will be hosted in New York on Nov. 3 to honor the designer's life. The service is taking place at the same chapel where the family of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis held her funeral. Close family and friends will have an opportunity to pay homage to de la Renta at a private mass at Church of St Ignatius Loyola at Park Avenue and 84th Street, according to WWD. The legendary designer passed away on Monday evening at his home in Kent, Conn., surrounded by his family and "more than a few dogs," according to The Telegraph. De la Renta was renowned for his charm, standing in the same social circle as many royals, celebrities, socials and more.
