Adam Levine voiced a harsh opinion about Taylor Swift. This comes as a shock since Taylor graciously served as a key advisor to each of the coaches, including Adam, during the 7th season of ‘The Voice’!
During Taylor Swift’s role as a key advisor on The Voice it seemed like Adam Levine, 35, and T-Swizzle, shared a playful big brother/little sister bond. However, after Adam publicly dissed the 24-year-old star, it seems that this friendship only lasted as long as Tay’s short-lived appearance on The Voice.
When asked about Taylor’s controversial decision to to pull her entire music library off of Spotify, the Maroon 5 frontman didn’t hold back from hating on the ‘Blank Space’ singer.
“Music is for everyone. I don’t care how anybody obtains it as long as they get it and enjoy and love it,” states Adam.
Furthermore, Adam emphasized that as long as consumers are “supporting the artist in some way,” they should be able to access music how they choose. “Music should be able to be wherever it is. That’s how I feel.”
Well, based on Adam’s statement, he definitely is not showing his support for Taylor, who was truly a hit with contestants and coaches alike on The Voice.
In his response Adam allegedly insinuated that Taylor is deliberately preventing the public from enjoying her music, be it her new sensational pop album or her classic country hits.
This incisive comment is a far cry from the hilarious banter between Taylor and Adam on NBC’s The Voice.
During her appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Oct. 23, Taylor teased Adam Levine about his aversion to show tunes.
“Like, Adam Levine’s weakness is musical theater songs. Did you know that?” Taylor coyly revealed. She added, “If you sing songs from Rent you can actually render Adam Levine helpless on the floor.”
