It looks like fans will finally be getting what they have been asking for, a "Vampire Diaries" and" The Originals" crossover. The series' show runner Julie Plec dropped some major spoilers about the popular CW shows. According to E! News, Plec revealed that Nina Dobrev who plays Elena Gilbert on "TVD" will be heading to New Orleans to introduce another doppelgänger via flashbacks to the TVD/Originals universe. The creative mind explained, "There's a lot of people that could cross over, and when we plan our crossovers, we like to think of the most clever way to integrate The Vampire Diaries mythology into The Originals mythology."
