Adult film star Amber Rayne was found dead in her Southern California home this weekend, according to media reports.
Rayne, 31, is one of nearly a dozen women who accused porn star James Deen of sexually assaulting them. Deen, who was friends with Rayne, has denied the accusations.
According to AVN (Adult Video News magazine), Rayne was found dead in her bed Saturday night or Sunday morning. AVN reported that she died in her sleep, but no official word on cause has been giving by authorities and an autopsy has not yet been completed. The site reported details are expected to be released later this week.
Rayne has been performing on camera since 2005.
In December 2015, Rayne told The Daily Beast that Deen punched her in the face during the filming of a sex scene in 2006. Rayne said Deen "brutally" penetrated her anus with his penis to the point that she "bled everywhere" and had to end the scene to get stitches.
In the same interview, Rayne said she worked with Deen years later, but that it was under supervision of a trusted director.
The allegations from the handful of adult stars began when Deen's former girlfriend Stoya, also a porn actress, tweeted that he raped her after she said stop in November 2015.
Deen, who is active on social media, has not responded to the news as of noon Monday.
